Sometimes inspiration arrives in the most unexpected moments.

One afternoon, while sitting on the staircase of our studio, I found myself staring at a simple jali wall. Through its geometric openings, I could see the trees outside gently swaying in the wind. Sunlight filtered through the patterns, a cool breeze made its way into the building, and for a moment, I felt connected to the world beyond those walls while still remaining inside. It was a quiet moment, but one that stayed with me.

That experience led to a simple question:

What if a Jali wasn't just an architectural element? What if it was a window?

A window into another place.

Another story.

Another moment in time.

That idea became the foundation of this project. Rather than just recreating the intricate patterns of a jali on a watch, we wanted to reinterpret what a jali represents. For centuries, these beautifully crafted screens have framed views, softened light, welcomed fresh air, and connected two spaces without fully separating them. They invite you to pause, observe, and imagine what lies beyond.

For us, the jali became a metaphor.

Every watch in this project is a window into a different story. Through the familiar geometry of a jali, we want to capture fleeting moments, landscapes, cultures, and everyday scenes from across India and beyond, inviting the wearer to experience them from a fresh perspective.

Just as every window frames a different view, every interpretation of Jali will reveal a different narrative. This project is about curiosity. About looking beyond what is immediately visible. About finding beauty in the ordinary moments we often overlook.

Over the coming days, we'll be sharing more about the inspiration behind the design, the stories it seeks to tell, the unique details woven into the watch, and the craftsmanship that brought the idea to life.
